Alvarez Placed On 15-Day DL

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- The tough luck season for Pirates 3B Pedro Alvarez continues as he's being placed on the disabled list.

The quad injury that forced Alvarez to miss last night's game will also placed him on the 15-day DL.

To take his place on the roster, the Pirates will recall SS Pedro Ciriaco.
