Kevin Correia Reacts To Another Pirate Victory
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- After the Pirates earned their fourth straight win Saturday night in come-from-behind fashion, starting/winning pitcher Kevin Correia caught up with 93-7 The Fan weekend host John Phillips to discuss his first-ever home victory.
Correia, who went 6 2/3 innings to raise his record to 6-4, talks about what it meant to collect that victory in front of a capacity crowd at PNC Park, and what he thinks of interleague play.
He also looks at the resilient nature of these 2011 Pirates, and explains why Joel Hanrahan, who earned his 13th save in as many chances, is an important part of them.
The Bucs will try to sweep the Tigers and re-reach the .500 mark at 1:35 Sunday.
