PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) – Over 20 percent of Joplin, Mo. has been flattened, and hundreds are dead after Sunday evening’s tornado.
KDKA AM’s John Shumway talks to Joplin resident Kathy Riscoe, who lives only a half-mile from the destroyed St. John’s Hospital where her husband, Dr. Jim Riscoe, is an emergency room doctor.
Kathy talks about her first-hand account of the destruction, as well as what her family and other residents are doing to salvage what’s left of their community.
