Taser Used After Traffic Stop Suspect Flees

KNOXVILLE (KDKA) – A routine traffic stop ended with police using a Taser to subdue a driver Wednesday morning in Knoxville.

Police attempted to stop a vehicle at the intersection of Bausman and Knox Streets around 1 a.m.

However, when the driver tried to flee the scene on foot, police used a Taser to subdue him.

The suspect may have also flashed a gun at police, before he was arrested on Rochelle Street.

    Flash a gun at cops…that might be why he was tasered.. Obviously the young gentleman had a reason to run, indicating he had something to hide! He 110% deserved the taser. Maybe using more non-deadly methods of force will clean up some of these areas that have trouble maintaining a steady population that actually contribute to society. Just my 2 cents
