ERIE (KDKA) — One person was killed in an explosion at a marina on Lake Erie.

The explosion happened at the Erie Yacht club’s boat refueling area around 6:30 p.m. Monday. Witnesses told the Erie Times-News it sounded like a bomb exploding.

A woman was killed and at least five others were hurt, including a 2-year-old child. Two patients have arrived at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.
