BUTLER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — Fire destroyed a house in Butler County.

This happened in the 300-block of Sawmill Run Road in the Meridian section of Butler Township.

Neighbors called 911 after seeing the flames.

The homeowner is believed to be away on business.

A dog inside the house died in the fire.
