Woman Stabbed In East Liberty

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A woman was reportedly stabbed several times in East Liberty.

The incident happened inside an apartment in the 5600-block of Penn Avenue shortly after 4:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Hope Bartfield lying in the hallway. She had been stabbed in the chest, arms and in the head.

After going through surgery, Bartfield’s condition was upgraded from critical to stable condition.

Police arrested 24-year-old Morris Brown, Jr. and took him to the Allegheny County Jail for arraignment after questioning at police headquarters.
