PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The senior center in Homewood is extending its hours because of the extreme heat in the forecast.

According to the Allegheny County Department of Human Services, the Homewood Healthy-Active Living Center will remain open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and Thursday.

The center is located at 7321 Frankstown Road.

Adults, age 60 and older, are being encouraged to visit any of the Allegheny County senior centers during their regular hours of operation, up to eight hours during peak heat times.
