Pickup Truck Crashes Into Westmoreland Co. Home

NORTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - North Huntingdon police say it's too soon to tell if a man who fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a house will face any charges.

Anthony Picone, 18, was driving in the 12000-block of Roth Road Monday morning when he plowed through a fence, tumbled over down a driveway and then slammed into a house. Cinder blocks were thrown from the foundation.

People inside the house say it sounded like thunder. They weren't injured and called 911. Picone was taken to UPMC Mercy for treatment.

Neighbors say it's not uncommon for cars to speed down Roth Road. They are concerned someone will be killed if something isn't done about it. That's why they are planning to attend the North Huntingdon Commissioner's meeting Wednesday evening to call for change in traffic enforcement.
