PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Former Pitt football great Hugh Green joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on SportsRadio 93-7 The FAN to talk about the renewed rivalry between Pitt and Penn State.

Green talked about his playing days and how great the rivalry truly was, saying it was such intense competition knowing many players from the same area were recruited to each school and had the chance to meet again on the college level.

He spoke of the feelings he had beating up on PSU in their own backyard with the incredible Pitt defense they had at that time.

Green also said it is good for Pitt to be playing PSU. He thinks in terms of a competition on the national level, Pitt should be playing more top 25 teams in the future.

Green also weighed in on the current rule changes in the NFL, and talked about how the game has matured for the better since his playing days, saying no one knew the issues surrounding concussions back then.

He also spoke of his efforts in helping victims of the recent tornadoes in Alabama by telling listeners about his website www.legends4alabamafund.com.
