Widow Of Slain Pizza Delivery Driver Hoping For Break In Case

SWISSVALE (KDKA) -- The widow of a pizza delivery driver murdered more than five years ago is hoping his killer will be caught.

Lydia Williams says she will never give up hope that investigators will find the person responsible for killing her husband, 36-year-old Christopher Williams.

"I'm confident, I'm not going to give up, someone will be caught, I may not get the justice I want right away, but, it's going to happen," she said.

Williams, a pizza delivery driver for Vocelli Pizza in Swissvale, was shot in the back of the head while making a delivery in Braddock back in January of 2006.

The couple was married in October of 2005. Only three months and 15 days later, Lydia found herself a widow.

In the aftermath of Williams' shooting, a $25,000 reward was offered for information leading to an arrest. Some of that money put up by someone who wanted to remain anonymous.

Lydia Williams posed a question to the killer tonight.

"How can you lay your head down at night, and go to sleep, knowing that you took away a life so senselessly and violently?"

Anyone with information should call Allegheny County Police.
