Police: Massage At Local Mall Goes Too Far, Masseur Charged

ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — Ross Township Police are looking for 58-year-old Xin Zhang after he failed to show up at a court hearing.

Zhang faces one count of indecent assault after he allegedly touched a woman inappropriately while giving her a 30-minute massage at the Comfort Zone inside Ross Park Mall, according to police.

Detective Brian Kohlhepp says the woman claims Zhang pressed his genitals up against her hand a couple of times. She also says he touched her breasts inappropriately.

Zhang was charged and taken to jail but released on bond. He was a no show at his hearing Wednesday, and now a warrant has been issued and police are asking for help in finding him.

Police say the Comfort Zone is a kiosk in the middle of the mall’s pedestrian walkway.

No one answered a phone number listed for the Comfort Zone, but Ross Park Mall issued a statement: “Our primary concern is always for the safety and well-being of our shoppers and mall employees. Upon learning of this complaint, the owner of the service was contacted, and the employee was immediately terminated.”

Wow, who would’ve thought he wouldn’t show up! Out of state ID, no job, yea, he was sticking around. Wish the courts cared about safety & well-being too.

  2. Dan Wood says:

I always wondered why anyone went to that kiosk. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not this lady’s fault she was taken advantage of… but these kiosks always seem so questionable…

    Speaking of massage parlors…

I shop at Monroeville Mall. Theres a nice seedy parlor in there. The place only accepts cash. I got a massage from an Asian girl in daisy dukes. Who knows how long that place will stay in business? They have this big funny sign outside out the front of th place talking about all the therapuetic benifits. Hilarious!

  6. Buddy says:

Ross Park Mall now basically only exists for rich lawyers wives to have a place to spend their husbands money. If you don’t make over $100,000 a year and have a stick jammed up your butt there is no reason to go there.
Wonder when we will have a gang related shooting there?

  7. Eyes Wide Open says:

Completely agree with Ruddy. If you are an NHB, and are tired of staring longingly at the pool boy, Ross Park Mall is your one stop shopping oasis. Hundreds of stores that no one can afford. Mainly because the pair of jeans I bought at J.C. Penny is 50 dollars more at Abercrombie becasue it has rips and pre stained paint marks on it. I remember the good old Ross Park mall: Service Merchandise, the arcade, the news stand, Media Play, Suncoast Video, KB toys, CVS, the list goes on.

He likely trained at the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy in Penn Hills. Worst training facility ever. Literally you buy your degree and 18 mos. later you are turned on the public.
