Local Man Injured In South Dakota

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) -- A local man has been injured in an apparent accidental shooting in South Dakota.

According to a report from the Associated Press, officials in South Dakota say 48-year-old John Ellis of South Connellsville was one of three tourists hurt Friday night in Hill City, S.D.

They were at a staged Old West-style shootout as part of a charity fundraiser when they were hurt, the Associated Press reports.

A sheriff's spokesman says the injuries are not life-threatening.

The other two injured men were from Nebraska and Minnesota.
