Heinz Field To Host Annual July 4th Celebration

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- If you're looking for a great place to celebrate on the Fourth of July, Heinz Field is once again marking the holiday with music, fireworks and a whole lot more.

The home of the Steelers opens its gates at 2 p.m. for the Heinz Field Fourth of July Celebration presented by Coors Light. Admission to the event is free.

The schedule of events includes the 28th Infantry Division Band with a tribute to the nation; members of the Pennsylvania National Guard will sing the National Anthem; and local bands, Tres Lads and The Stickers will also perform.

It all leads up to Grammy-nominated country star Joe Nichols taking the stage at 8:15 p.m.

Afterwards, the Heinz Field ramps will be open for viewing fireworks.

The parking lots open at 8 a.m.
