Spill Sends Hazmat Team To West Mifflin

WEST MIFFLIN (KDKA) -- The Hazmat team responded to the scene of a spill along a roadway in West Mifflin Thursday morning.

According to emergency officials with Allegheny County 911, it happened near the Wendy's fast food restaurant on Lebanon Church Road after 10 a.m.

A truck reportedly spilled some type of corrosive material. The spill has been contained; however, part of Lebanon Church Road will be closed for a couple hours while crews clear the spill.

Officials say five people were taken to the hospital for treatment. So far, there is no word on their conditions.
