Bucs’ d’Arnaud Reacts To MLB Debut
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Pirate prospect Chase d’Arnaud joined 93-7 The Fan weekend host Tab Douglas Saturday afternoon to talk about his first big-league game, a 3-1 win over the Boston Red Sox.
Chase gives us a new player’s perspective on playing in PNC Park. He tells us about his first hit as a Pirate–a triple off the left-field wall in the fifth inning–and what was going through his mind as the play unfolded.
In addition, the shortstop talks about his comfort level moving over to third base, which he did Friday night, and gives his own analysis of some of the other up-and-comers in the Pirates’ organization.
Prior to his arrival this week, d’Arnaud was hitting .280 with 17 stolen bases and 33 RBI in 62 games with Triple-A Indianapolis.
