Pitt Hoops 2011-12 Home/Away Schedule

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- The Big East Conference announced league opponents and game sites for the 2011-12 University of Pittsburgh men's basketball season.

For the fifth consecutive year, Pitt will play an 18-game Big East regular season schedule and will face each of the 15 possible league opponents at least once.

HOME GAMES (9)
Cincinnati, Georgetown, Louisville, Providence, Rutgers, St. John's, USF, Villanova and West Virginia.

AWAY GAMES (9)
Connecticut, DePaul, Louisville, Marquette, Notre Dame, Seton Hall, USF, Syracuse and West Virginia.

REPEAT OPPONENTS (3)
Louisville, USF and West Virginia.

Pitt has already released several of its non-conference game dates and opponents.

The Panthers will participate in the BIG EAST/SEC Challenge at Tennessee on Dec. 3. Pitt will play four contests as part of the Philly HoopGroup Classic including one game at The Palestra in Philadelphia against Penn (Nov. 25). The other three Philly HoopGroup games will be played at the Petersen Events Center: Rider (Nov. 13), LaSalle (Nov. 22) and Robert Morris (Nov. 27).

Pitt's entire 2011-12 men's basketball schedule will be released at a later date.
