Stroller Belonging To Child With Autism Stolen

FREEDOM (KDKA) -- Police in Freedom Borough are investigating the disappearance of a stroller belonging to a child with special needs.

The 8-year-old boy has autism and his mother, Theresa Salvatore, says she uses it because he tires easily.

The stroller is just one of the items missing. Two back seats from a Chrysler Town and Country van were also taken.

Salvatore had the seats of the van removed because a neighbor wanted to put a grill in the back.

Police think someone may have mistaken the items for trash, but Salvatore tells KDKA-TV she's convinced the items were stolen.

She says everybody in the neighborhood knows each other and that she's disappointed.

Anyone with information should contact the Freedom Police Department.
