Stroller Belonging To Child With Autism Stolen

FREEDOM (KDKA) — Police in Freedom Borough are investigating the disappearance of a stroller belonging to a child with special needs.

The 8-year-old boy has autism and his mother, Theresa Salvatore, says she uses it because he tires easily.

The stroller is just one of the items missing. Two back seats from a Chrysler Town and Country van were also taken.

Salvatore had the seats of the van removed because a neighbor wanted to put a grill in the back.

Police think someone may have mistaken the items for trash, but Salvatore tells KDKA-TV she’s convinced the items were stolen.

She says everybody in the neighborhood knows each other and that she’s disappointed.

Anyone with information should contact the Freedom Police Department.

My family had owned a chrysler town and country and we also took the back seat out of it. A few months ago the van was totaled and towed without the seat so we still have the backseat in our possesion. My family would be happy to donate this seat to the Salvatore family and would like to know how to contact them.

You can contact the Freedom Police dept and they can make arrangements for you to either drop off the seats to the pd or with Teresa’s permission will connect you to her. Pd dispatch # 724-775-0880… you can leave your name and number and they will have an Officer call you.
The family would be SO grateful!!!!

Listen here Rob – Before you go and run your mouth, u should know the facts. There are many forms of Autism, And this child is by no means stroller bound. Due to the level of his disability he gets tired easily. His family used that stroller to let him enjoy everything same thing they do…They don’t leave him out. He goes threw many forms of therapy and is a great little boy that is more loved than obviously u are….U need to think before you open your mouth.
