WILKINSBURG (KDKA) — Allegheny County police have arrested a 22-year-old man following a fatal shooting Friday night in Wilkinsburg.

The shooting happened around 10 p.m. in the 1500-block of Marlboro Avenue.

The victim, 46-year-old Allison Studvant, suffered two gunshot wounds to the chest.

Police say Christopher Harris has been charged with criminal homicide in the case.

According to Allegheny County police, Harris “admitted to detectives that he had shot the victim after a heated argument between the two.”

Studvant was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where she was pronounced dead just before 11:15 p.m.

Harris is being held in the Allegheny County Jail. Police say the two were just acquaintances and not related.
