Hanrahan Named To National League All-Star Team

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Rosters for the Major League Baseball All-Star Game were announced Sunday afternoon.

Closer Joel Hanrahan was selected as the Pirates' only representative for the National League squad.

Hanrahan (0-1, 1.41 ERA) has completed all 23 save opportunities he's had this season, including two against the Boston Red Sox earlier this month.

He has struck out 33 batters and walked only eight in 38 1-3 innings this season.

The All-Star Game will be held on July 12 at Chase Field.
