2 Hurt In Westmoreland County Fireworks Accident

SOUTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Two people were hurt in a backyard fireworks accident in Westmoreland County Sunday night.

Emergency crews were called to the 500-block of Stahl Road in South Huntingdon Township around 10 p.m.

One person was flown to West Penn Hospital, while the other was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

One person suffered injuries to both hands, while the other suffered arm and facial injuries.

It is not known what types of fireworks were being used at this time.
