Munhall Couple Accused Of Locking 6-Year-Old Boy In Room

MUNHALL (KDKA) –  The parents of a 6-year-old boy in Munhall are facing charges.

The boy’s grandmother took him to Children’s Hospital because he had bruises and welts, according to the criminal complaint.

While at the hospital, officials brought in a child advocate. According to the criminal complaint, the child was kept in a locked room on the second floor of Apartment E and beaten on a regular basis.

The child told the worker that 23-year-old Robert Guyer, hit him with a belt for defecating on the floor of their apartment on Longfellow Street.

The complaint says the child also told the worker he was kept locked in his room, “Forever. I never come out.”

He also said he was hungry and not allowed to eat.

The boy also said his mother, Chrystal Plesniak, also 23, “hits me on the nose and makes my nose bleed.”

Guyer and Plesniak were arrested on charges of false imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy.

They have a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday with District Magistrate Thomas Torkowsky in Munhall.
