Report: Wisconsin Trying To Schedule Pitt

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Pitt's challenging non-conference schedule could be getting tougher in the future.

According to Pittblather.com, University of Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez said this week that attempts are being made to add Pitt and Kansas State to future non-conference schedules.

Alvarez, who is from Burgettstown (PA), said no contracts have been signed with either school.

Pitt and Wisconsin have only played each other three times, the last being in 1967.

No word yet on which year this game could be played.

Here is Pitt's future non-conference schedule:
2012: Central Florida, Virginia Tech, at Buffalo, at Notre Dame, (1 opening left)

2013: at Villanova, at Virginia Tech, NC State, at Navy, Notre Dame

2014: at Notre Dame, at Florida International, (3 openings left)
