19-Year-Old Struck By Car, Injured In New Castle

NEW CASTLE (KDKA) — A 19-year-old was hospitalized for critical injuries Saturday night after a vehicle reportedly struck her while she was walking along a street in New Castle.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, emergency officials in Lawrence County reported that it happened after 10:30 p.m. on East Washington Street after an annual community fireworks show.

Police in New Castle continue to investigate the incident.

The teen was taken to a hospital in Youngstown by medical helicopter.

      She is obviously the child of someone hopefully she will be ok and I work in a pediatric hospital and we see children up to the age of 22yrs. so I guess ya never know hmm.
