Pirates Chairman Bob Nutting: “We’re Committed”

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) — Pittsburgh Pirates chairman Bob Nutting called in to the Vinnie & Cook Show on Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan and gave his thoughts on his team’s season so far.

Mr. Nutting tells us how committed he is to putting a championship caliber product on the field, what Neal Huntington may be able to do during the trading period, and how he weathered the criticism he received during the tough times. He also gives us details of the Bucs’ blueprint, and how close the team may be to achieveing his goals.

    But for how long??????????? Pittsburgh’s ownership is strictly nickel & dime operation and can’t be believed if there is even a chance they won’t be able to make the kind of profit they’re presently making even if that means putting out a consistent winner.

    Apparently there is a misquote……It should be, “We SHOULD be committed” instead of we ARE committed. With an injury or two, they will plummet in the standings but will still sellout with Skyblasts and Bobbleheads. Steeler season is upon us whether or not they reach an agreement. Go ball! Get outta here!
