PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Paul Solotaroff, the Men’s Journal contributing editor who wrote the “James Harrison: Confessions of an NFL Hitman” article for the August issue, joined the Vinnie & Cook Show Thursday on SportRadio 93-7 THE FAN.

He talked about about article in depth.

Solotaroff offered some surprising thoughts on the original intent of the article as well as on Harrison himself.

“I could have easily filled up the entire magazine with the wit and wisdom of James Henry Harrison,” he said. “One of the things that amused me to note was that the hardest hitting that goes on – anytime the Steelers play – was before the game starts, when he and Timmons go at each other in warm-ups. You want to see veracity, you want to see violence, watch those two get after it at the 50 yard line.”

He also talked about whether Harrison’s words were twisted around in the article (as James has claimed), and what the fallout from the controversy could be.
