SEWICKLEY HILLS (KDKA) — A man and woman were injured when their motorcycle crashed on Interstate 79 Saturday.

The accident happened in the northbound lanes near the Mount Nebo exit in Sewickley Hills.

Another couple was traveling with the crash victims at the time. They say the motorcycle’s back tire blew out and sent the bike out of control.

“At the moment he’s okay, a couple injuries but he’ll be taken care of,” said Rob Nance-Kivel, a witness. “Her, she’s okay too.”

There is no word on the condition of the injured riders.

They were reportedly on their way back home to the Toronto area after a trip to the Smoky Mountains in North Carolina and Tennessee.
