Bucs: Post-Game Audio, Pirates Beat Cardinals

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — The Pirates needed 10 innings Sunday to beat St. Louis Sunday, avoiding being swept by the Cardinals and jumping back up to first place in the National League’s Central Division.

Xavier Paul beat out an infield single, stole second, advanced to third on a throwing error and eventually came home on a sacrifice fly by Chase D’Arnaud. Here’s what Paul, Pirates manager Clint Hurdle, starter Charlie Morton and catcher Eric Fryer had to say after the game…
