Burress Signs With The NY Jets

By: Mike Vukovcan

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Plaxico Burress had serious interest in returning to the Steelers; but in the end, he went for the money.

Burress is heading back to New York to play for the Jets.

Burress signed a one-year contract worth a guaranteed $3 million.

The Jets will now have two former Steelers as their wide receivers, Burress and Santonio Holmes.

The Jets re-signed Holmes to a five-year, $50 million contract and decided to move on from Edwards, who refused to lower his asking price.

Burress actually accepted the Jets offer while on a trip to visit the San Francisco 49ers.

This will be seen as good thing when he accidentally shoots himself in the hip doing jumping jacks at training camp.

Plax wanted to play for an up and coming winner, not some tired wore out team like the Squealers.

You’re right, but their best years are BEHIND them and Plax wanted to play for an “UP AND COMING WINNER”.

  4. Corey says:

Plax was a bum when he played for the Steelers. NY can keep his overpaid behind. Just remember we won without him. Steelers six superbowl titles Jets 1. Last time I checked we beat the JETS to get to the Superbowl so just remember that all you NY fans who know the Giants are better anyways.
