Child, 8, Stabbed In Lincoln-Lemington

LINCOLN-LEMINGTON (KDKA) – A girl was accidentally stabbed by her older brother in Pittsburgh's Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood Monday afternoon.

According to police, an 8-year-old child was stabbed in the stomach in the 6600-block of Lyric Street around 4 p.m.

KDKA-TV's Paul Martino has learned that the child was allegedly stabbed by her 13-year-old brother.  The kids were allegedly horsing around int he kitchen and things got out of hand.

At one point during their investigation, police took the brother into custody and put him in handcuffs. He has since been released and police believe the incident was accidental.

The child was taken to Children's Hospital and was last listed in stable condition.
