City Game Returns To Consol Center

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- It was announced that the 79-year old City Game basketball series between the University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University will be played on Wednesday, November 30 at the CONSOL Energy Center.

Last year, Pitt earned an 80-66 decision over the Dukes in the arena's inaugural college basketball game.

Pitt holds a 48-31 all-time record and has won 29 of the series' last 32 games.

We are thrilled to have the City Game returning," said Jay Roberts, CONSOL Energy Center General Manager. "Our building continues to be a marquee showplace for college basketball and the Pitt-Duquesne matchup is the opportunity to tipoff our slate of college basketball games as we continue our preparations for the 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball Second and Third Rounds in March."

The CONSOL Energy Center will host the 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament First & Second Rounds March 15-17, 2012.
