Memorial Service Held For Boy Killed In Drunk Driving Crash

NEW KENSINGTON (KDKA) - It has been one year since a 14-year-old boy was killed in a drunk driving accident.

His baseball team held a memorial service in his honor Monday night in New Kensington.

Joshua Gibson and his mother were on their way home from a baseball tournament in Edinboro, when she veered off the road and crashed.

Tonight, more than 100 people gathered at Memorial Park Baseball Field where a plaque was dedicated in Gibson's honor.

They said prayers, lit candles and sang "Amazing Grace" during an emotional service.

According to police, Gibson's mother, Christa Logue, was driving drunk at the time of the accident.

They found two bottles of beer, an empty bottle of vodka and prescription pills in the van.
