PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Some much-needed rain will fall the area today.
KDKA meteorologist Dennis Bowman says periods of showers will be with us and there could be an isolated thunderstorm during the afternoon.
Most of the rain will be light, and unfortunately, will not be enough to solve our dry spell.
Since June 1, Bowman says we have received 5.12 inches of rain in Pittsburgh, which is 3.25 below average.
One good thing about today’s cloudy skies and showers is that it will hold down the temperature.
Many locations will see highs in the 70s with Pittsburgh peaking at about 82 degrees.
Tuesday’s high was 91 degrees, which was the 15th time this season that we have gone to 90 or above.
