Local Teams To Appear On ESPN
Pittsburgh (KDKA)- A couple local high school football teams will be playing on ESPN.
On Sunday, September 4, Gateway will open its season taking on Bishop McDevitt High School.
The game has been moved to 6 PM and will broadcast nationally online on ESPN3.com and a statewide television broadcast on Comcast.
There will be a ton of D-1 prospects in that game including the #1 ranked player in the state, DE Noah Spence of Bishop McDevitt.
Earlier in the day, Central Catholic will play Archbishop Wood of Philadelphia and that gave will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.
A month ago, we reported that there's a good chance Hopewell High School will also be appearing on ESPN this upcoming season.
