Oakmont Apartment Building Fire Leaves 5 Displaced
OAKMONT (KDKA) -- Five people have lost their homes after a fire in an apartment building in Oakmont.
The fire happened at the three-unit building in the 600-block of Sixth Street shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday.
Crews brought the fire under control just before 7 p.m.
The Red Cross says the victims include four adults and a child.
One unit was destroyed. The other two apartments have smoke damage.
The stove in the rear apartment may have had something to do with the fire.
The fire marshal is investigating.
