OAKMONT (KDKA) — Five people have lost their homes after a fire in an apartment building in Oakmont.

The fire happened at the three-unit building in the 600-block of Sixth Street shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday.

Crews brought the fire under control just before 7 p.m.

One unit was destroyed. The other two apartments have smoke damage.

The stove in the rear apartment may have had something to do with the fire.
