1 Arrested, 3 Injured In Braddock Shooting

BRADDOCK (KDKA) -- Police have one person in custody following a shooting late Thursday night in Braddock that sent three people to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

The shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. in the 500-block of Talbot Avenue.

According to investigators, 58-year-old Angela Williams of Forest Hills had just walked out of the apartments on Talbot Street.

Witnesses told police that Williams shut a security door behind her that had been propped open, locking four young women out. Authorities say they believe the group began to berate Williams for locking them out and a fight ensued.

According to police, Williams got the worst of the fight and was chased away, but would return a couple minutes later. Police say she is accused of opening fire with a handgun.

One of the individuals was hit in the buttocks; two others were hit in the back, and a fourth escaped injury.

Investigators say Williams who was allegedly intoxicated at the time ran from the scene but was chased down by residents and police.

The women were taken to local hospitals for treatment and none of their injuries are believe to be life-threatening.

Williams is in the Allegheny County Jail. She is facing multiple charges including two counts of attempted homicide.
