PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — One person is dead and four others are injured after separate shootings in two city neighborhoods.

The first call in the Beltzhoover area ended with three people shot and one of them in custody. It happened shortly after 6 p.m. on Warrington Avenue.

One person was shot in the head and leg, another in the hip, and still another in the nose. That teen was arrested for giving police a false ID.

Twenty minutes later, two more victims were shot in Knoxville on Mathews Avenue. The victims were in a car.

A passenger was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition. The driver suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. He has been identified as 18-year-old Jason Daniel Jr.

Witnesses report seeing a man running from the scene.

Police are investigating if these shootings are gang related.
