IRWIN (KDKA) — Police say an angry ex-boyfriend is behind a pedestrian accident in Irwin.

Cheang Yon says her daughter was walking with her boyfriend when her ex-boyfriend drove the wrong way up Chestnut Street and tried to hit him.

He then turned around and tried again.

The suspect, James Earl Davis, II, was driving a 1997 Buick Park Avenue which now has a broken windshield.

“In the interview he denied that saying the victim threw rocks at his windshield which I don’t see any evidence of that,” Irwin Police Chief Joseph Pocsatko said. “I see evidence on the windshield of blood, skin and a little bit of flesh.”

The victims called police earlier in the morning to report Davis for stalking. He was taken into custody at a traffic stop before police realized the extent of the quarrel.

“I had him in custody for the original complaint of stalking and then it ended up evolving into a vehicle pedestrian crash, which now he’s going to be charged with that as well,” Chief Pocsatko said.

Officials say Davis is now facing aggravated assault and stalking charges in the incident.
