DUQUESNE (KDKA) — A man was shot during an apparent robbery attempt in Duquesne.

The 58-year-old male victim was walking home from the store in Prune Alley when a male, believed to be in his 20′s, approached him with a gun and demanded money.

During the scuffle, the man was shot in the ankle and backside.

He was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital.
