SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a man and a toddler were killed in a Friday night crash in Mercer County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the two-vehicle accident happened on Interstate 79 near mile marker 110.6 in Springfield Township around 6:55 p.m.

Troy Hallam, 34, of Carnegie, and a 22-month-old girl were killed in the crash.

Jennifer Hallam, 29, was injured and taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

The two occupants of the other vehicle were not injured.

The cause of the crash is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
