2 Pirates Prospects Named All-Stars

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Bradenton Marauders outfielder Robbie Grossman and third baseman Elevys Gonzalez have been named to the Florida State League postseason all-star team

Grossman's 2011 season might be the most pleasant surprise of all the Pirate minor league prospects.
Grossman leads all of baseball in runs scored with 123 and tops Minor League Baseball in walks with 102. He is also leads Bradenton in home runs with 13 and has stolen 24 bases.

Grossman was the Pirates 6th round pick in the 2008 Draft.

Elevys Gonzalez has been Bradenton's top run producer with 79 RBI.

Gonzalez, 22, was signed as non-drafted free agent on June 4, 2008.

Earlier this month, Altoona outfielder Starling Marte was named a Double-A All-Star.
