House Fire Extinguished In Adams Township

ADAMS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — A house fire sent crews to a house in Butler County.

Lightning apparently hit the house at about 1:30 p.m.

“When we first got here, we were encountering really severe fire conditions very quickly into the fire fight,” the fire chief told KDKA-TV.

A woman who was home at the time got out safely. The children were still at school.

The owner told KDKA-TV the house was listed for sale.

The fire caused about $500,000 in damage.
