Annual Street Hockey Tournament Honors Fallen Officer

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Family, friends and community members gathered at Osceola Park in Bloomfield today for an annual street hockey tournament to honor a fallen hero.

The event pays tribute to Pittsburgh Police Officer Paul Sciullo II. He was killed shot and killed in the line of duty during a standoff in Stanton Heights back in 2009.

The event is especially significant because Officer Sciullo played in that same park during his childhood.

"This is what we can give back in return to honor him and his memory and we're more than happy to do so every year," Eric Crouse, a relative.

This was the third year for the event. It continues Sunday.
