Dickerson To Workout For Steelers

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Recently released Dorin Dickerson will try to catch on with his hometown team.

Reportedly, Dickerson will have a workout today with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The former West Allegheny and University of Pittsburgh graduate was cut by the Houston Texans over the weekend.

Dickerson was drafted in the 7th round of the 2010 NFL Draft and was active for 7 games for the Texans.

Dickerson was somewhat of a disappointment for the Texans because they expected him to be their 4th wide receiver this season.

It's unknown whether Dickerson will try to make the Steelers as a wide receiver or a tight end.

The Steelers are loaded at wide receiver and just kept Weslye Saunders as young pass catching tight end.

Adam Caplan of NFL.com is reporting that the Steelers will also workout former Chicago Bears 3rd round pick Juaquin Iglesias.

Iglesias spent most of the 2010 season on the Bears practice squad and was then signed by the Minnesota Vikings.

Iglesias was released over the weekend by the Vikings.
