Flooding Concerns Close Mon Wharf On Wednesday

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The recent line of rain showers that have moved through the area have caused a flood advisory to be issued.

As a result, the Mon Parking Wharf will be closed on Wednesday and will remain closed until further notice.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory until Friday for the Ohio River.

As of 10 a.m. on Tuesday, the river was at 16.8 feet. Flood stage for the river is 25 feet.

On Wednesday, the river is expected to rise over the 18-foot mark and continue to rise to 21.8 feet by Thursday morning.

At 18 feet, the Mon Wharf begins to flood and at 22 feet the 10th Street Bypass begins to take on water.
