Temple Wants To Play Pitt

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- New Temple coach Steve Addazio would like to see his team play Pitt on a yearly basis.

At his press conference before taking on Penn State, Addazio was asked about the yearly in-state games between the Owls and Penn State, "You know they talk about the big three – Pitt, Penn State and Temple," he said. "I think we should play Pittsburgh. I'm all for that."

"I think all three of us should play each other," Addazio said. "And I think it's great for Pennsylvania. I think it's great for college football."

The Panthers have a 27-7-1 advantage in the all-time series with the Owls. Pittsburgh took a 27-22 victory in the teams' last meeting on Oct. 9, 2004.

Considering TCU will be joining the Big East in 2012, Pitt doesn't appear to have many opening on their schedule for Temple.
