My family & I spent over 30 years in the Pittsburgh area. As retirement approached my husband, daughter & I decided to move to New Mexico to enjoy the warmer weather. We had lived here for two years in the early 80′s. We live near the Albuquerque area and have considered moving back to PA. It doesn’t mattter where I am, it is rare to hear English spoken. It has gotten to the point where we feel we are living in a foreign country.

Please make English the official language of Pennsylvania. If you don’t do this, it will slowly but surely become a place where you are an outsider .

This country has been overrun with foreigners and illegals who have chosen purposely not to assimilate into this culture. My father came to this country from Italy; he told me that he HAD to learn in order to fit in as discrimination occurred because of the language one spoke if not English. Today, foreigners and illegals make little to no effort to assimilate and learn the language. The federal government makes laws that all signs have to be in Hispanic and telephone menus say to press 1 for English, 2 for Spanish, 3 for French, etc. Ridiculous. Kudos to Daryl Metcalf, glad he’s in office.

Wait till Obama grants amnesty to all illegals and then forces you by law to learn Spanish cause he knows what’s good for you if you like it or not.

ENGLISH should be the official language of the entire country. I can’t even believe that we have to discuss this. What is this country coming too.
