Driver, Dog Not Hurt After Car Lands On Roof Overnight

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A driver can thank a group of Good Samaritans for helping him from his vehicle after it flipped over a fence and landed on its roof in an overnight crash.

The accident happened along Sandusky Street underneath Interstate 79 on Pittsburgh's North Side.

A group of Good Samaritans is being credited with helping the man from the vehicle after it ended up on roof.

The man was able to crawl out of the wreckage. His dog ran out of the vehicle after the accident.

"He just came from over here. He hit that wall, was going so fast, flipped over the fence. The car flipped over the fence and there it is," said one of the Good Samaritans. "He was inside with his dog, and that's what he was worried about, his dog more than anything."

Firefighters and emergency crews arrived on the scene just after the man was able to get out of the vehicle.

He and his dog were not hurt in the crash.
