Is Extreme Couponing Costing The Rest Of Us?

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — Retailers across the country are tightening up and cutting back, adjusting their coupon policies to close loopholes that allow “extreme couponers” to make away with hundreds of dollars of merchandise for a fraction of the list price.

    Of course it’s not costing the rest of us. There are nearly 0% of the people that are “extreme couponers” (despite the media blitz to try to convince us it’s worth our time. So not only did you not create the panic that you wanted (kdka), but now you’re trying to create another non-story on top of the first non-story. Unlike KDKA, the rest of us aren’t the f^ckt@rds that you are.

    It’s not COSTING us, per se; What it is doing however, is making stores and manufacturers smarter. They know that more and more people are trying to beat the system, so they’re changing when the coupons come out, when the sales and specials hit so they don’t coincide as much, and how much you can use towards one deal. It had to come to an end because of people who actually abuse the generosity of stores and producers. Some might say fight it and assume they’re entitled to do this, but it’s still abuse.
