NFL Fines Polamalu & Taylor

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Just one week into the 2011 NFL season and two Pittsburgh Steelers have been fined.

Steelers safety Troy Polamalu and cornerback Ike Taylor both have been fined $15,000 for what the NFL is calling unnecessary roughness.

Polamalu was fined $15,000 for his horse-collar tackle on Ravens running back while Taylor was fined for head-butting Ravens offensive tackle Michael Oher.

The NHL also fined Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo was fined $15,000 for his horse-collar tackle.

A $15,000 fine is the minimum penalty for a horse-collar tackle.
